Our continuous activity evolution regarding the control implants for dumps and sewerages ( in depressione ) has created the need of a dedicated system for a control and a continuous monitoring of their functioning.
For this reason we have studied and realized an informatic program specifically made for our implants and that is:

- simple to use
- of immediate comprehension
- improvements and patches easy to develop

“Dust” monitoring and control system:

Dust software has been developed keeping in consideration the implants and the specific needs of the customer.
The system dust works on Ms Windows, it has to be installed on a pc and offers the following possibilities:

- Visualization on synoptic of the implant's layout.
- Handling of alarm and pre-alarm condition.
- Possibility of vocal alarm messages.
- Phone retrieving service.
- Implant status periodical reports.
- Historical database, trends and stats.

Interfacing versatility ( operator-machine ):

Dust software has been developed for easy operations and has the typical features of interfacing that anyone would like to find in a monitoring and telecontrol system:

- High colours resolution.
- Possibility of multiple operators points.
- Several video accesses.
- Quick video access ( mouse/track-ball ).

Remote control and data collection unit:

The “PRU” unit allows control and measuring operations by a centralized managing system, on PC, or by programmable local functions.
Both these possibilities are done through a serial link, standard RS485 based, and up to 32 remote units can be linked together.

- Communication with administrator pc.
- “Dust” uses a master-slave system associated with a pc that operates as master.

The periphericals ( slave ) consist of acquisition units ( PRU ) linked to the pc by a serial communication line.
The use of EIA RS485 industrial standard grants interference clearness and allows transmissions over 1000 m simply by using shielded pairs and to which up to 32 acquisition units can be connected.
Units are regularly questioned by the Master to which field data are given; the data are elaborated to activate eventually needed actions.
