Static torch

The use of a static torch for the biogas combustion is suitable in the case of old dumps degassing or for the “ keep in safety “ of new dumps where the production capacity of biogas is limited because of the low quantity of waste delivered and where the availability of electricity as power supply isn't possible.

Notwithstanding, the installation of aspiration and combustion automated systems is preferable.

Static torch for the biogas combustion, delivered on frame with combustion stack and automated starting system, available in different models:

- mod. TSCHT 100 for nominal flow rates up to 100 mc/h
- mod. TSCHT 50 for nominal flow rates up to 50 mc/h

Technical standard features

- automatic functioning
- combustion temperature: 900°C
- minimum rate CH4: 25%

Fabrication standard features

The torch, built on stainless steel support frame, includes an on-off butterfly valve with a control lever connected to an input barrel provided with a steam trap plug.

The stainless steel burner is located inside the stainless steel combustion chamber, before the burner we have a stainless steel grid flame breaking filter.

The automatic starting system is formed by a transformer and a starter, it's located near the burner and its power supply comes from a battery located in the box containing the management and control implant logics.

A specific electric circuit controls the starting cycle, a flame detection made by a thermocouple will give the input to end this cycle. In case the flame turns out, the system will automatically restart the cycle for a set number of times.

Light indicators will define the working status of the torch. For the energy supply of the battery we have a photovoltaic panel system, correctly sized depending on the system needs.
