Pre-insulated valves
The continuous technological improvement of teleheating nets has requested the use of insulated valves, diameters from DN15 to DN50, even for users' plugs.
Conveco has studied and developed a coating and insulation system that grants:
- maximum thermal insulation depending on the valves size
- perfect seal against infiltrations and dampness also underwater
- absolute size compatibility of the insulation with the valve connection pre-insulated pipes
- easy access to valve even if trap installed
Technical features:
- fluid: heated water added with anti-corrosive
- pressure: variable up to a max. of 16 bar
- temperature: continuous service at 130° C. with peaks of 140° C
- service: continuous
- position: any
- rating: PN 25
- reference rules: UNI EN 253 – UNI EN 488
Fabrication valve materials and features
- structure: carbon steel type FE360 or equivalent.
- ends: extended with the same material as structure with edges supported by head welding.
- shutter: stainless steel floating sphere AISI 304.
- stem: stainless steel AISI 303, execution with internal assembling.
- varnishing: epoxid varnish on anti corrosion priming, suitable for underground installations; welding ends free from varnish for at least 100 mm.
- operation: manual with end lock on both sides ( open/close ).
- tests: Tightness test and welding checks based on UNI EN 488 standards.
Coating materials and fabrication features
- stem extension: stainless steel AISI 304 directly fastened to the stem
- control lever: aluminium passing type
- valve coating: one piece PEAD ( high density polyethylene ) with diameter conforming to pipeline's insulation
- extension coating: one piece PEAD integral with the valve coating with Viton sealing O-ring
- insulation: rigid expanded polyurethane dual component foam, closed cells type with
following main features:
- core density: 63 kg/m3
- activity temperature: 140°C
- closed cells: 94%
